We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance team and play a key role in understanding the financial health and performance of the business.

This role will go beyond preparing financial reports. You will analyse financial and business performance, assess profitability, identify trends and risks, and provide insights to help management understand whether the business is moving in the right financial direction.

You will work closely with the Finance Director and business leaders to turn financial data into meaningful insights and support better commercial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse the company's overall financial performance and identify key trends, opportunities, and risks.
• Monitor revenue, costs, gross margins, operating expenses, profitability, and cash flow.
• Analyse the balance sheet, including key movements and ratios, to support assessments of financial health.
• Assess the profitability and financial performance of different business units, services, and revenue streams.
• Assess client creditworthiness and monitor credit risk exposure.
• Track prepayment trends and their impact on cash flow and revenue recognition.
• Monitor foreign exchange exposure and time settlements to secure favourable FX gains.
• Build financial models to support business planning, forecasting, pricing, investment decisions, and strategic initiatives.
• Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, and compare actuals against them to investigate significant variances.
• Flag areas of overspend, underperformance, or margin improvement opportunities.
• Support management in understanding the financial impact of new initiatives, projects, and decisions.
• Prepare management reports and presentations that highlight key insights and recommendations.
• Support cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial efficiency and profitability.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support management decision-making.

Requirements

• 5-6 years of experience in Financial Analysis.
• Bachelor's Degree and / or Professional qualifications CFA, CIMA, ACCA, CA.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, profitability analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
• Strong commercial and analytical mindset with the ability to understand what is driving the numbers.
• Experience analysing business performance and presenting financial insights to management.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify trends, inconsistencies, and financial risks.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, challenge assumptions, and proactively identify areas requiring attention.
